December 2010 in Udon
When I first visited Thailand in 1987 I immediately fell in love with Thailand. At that time Thailand was different from the other countries in Southeast Asia, such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia (excluding Java) and Singapore.
During the past 23 years I have visited almost every corner of Thailand from Chiang Rai in the North to Yala in the Deep South, I was fascinated by the Kingdom of Thailand.
Having worked in Bangkok for almost 20 years with some of the largest Thai Internet startup’s (AsiaRooms.com / Mweb’s Sanook.com), little did I know that one day I would call the Northeast Thailand (Issan) my home.
My Fiancee Apple
I am currently living in a village near Phang Khon, in the province of Sakon Nakhon, developing websites, mobile applications and Social Media campaigns for my hospitality clients from overseas.
I am still learning on a daily basis how to handle my life in Issan (Northeast Thailand) and what to do and what not to do. In general the villagers are great and the family of my Thai fiancée Apple are terrific and extremely helpful.
I will post daily some kind of article/post on travel in the Issan region or any other region of Thailand and as well explain the local culture and tradition of Issan, from the history, cuisine and festivals of Issan and as well marrying an Issan woman including the cultural tradition, etc.
I have also launched the Bangkok Travel Guide on Android Market which can be directly be downloaded from Google’s Android Market. The application is available in English and Thai.
Besides articles about Thailand, I also have uploaded other articles and content that is related to Mobile Applications and of which I hold the Intellectual Copyright. Those articles are mainly available in English, Malay, Indonesian and Chinese.
Please do not copy my content and upload it to other websites or make use of it, without my prior permission.
